Meena Wood is an international speaker, educational trainer, author and leadership coach. In the UK, as a school adviser, I support academies and MATs, including Alternative Provision providers, conducting peer reviews, curriculum and assessment reviews. I specialise in the quality of education, inspection and governance and leadership of instructional coaching. In addition, I work with British and International Schools in the Middle East (Dubai) and India and is currently a registered KHDA inspector in Dubai and bring a range of international good and outstanding practice to schools I work with in the UK. My passion is for all children and young people achieving their full potential and for school and college leaders to be confident, enabled to lead and having the courage of their convictions. They are the professionals who should be trusted and respected by both DfE and the inspectorate. They are potentially the agents of transformational change who hold the appropriate vision and values for the unique context of their school. I was a former HMI Ofsted, Local Authority Adviser, Principal of an Adult College and Principal of a Secondary Academy . This breadth of experience across phase and accountability frameworks has meant that I believe strongly a developmental approach to school improvement and not a punitive one, is what is required in the current fragmented landscape to restore faith and credibility to the profession.
