With 17 years of experience in Home Economics education, I have had the privilege of nurturing young minds in central Scotland, working across both public and private sectors. My journey into the digital realm was sparked by observing a dyslexic student's remarkable adaptation to IT-enhanced learning. This revelation not only transformed my teaching approach but also revolutionised the educational experience of my own dyslexic son. I firmly believe in a project-based and self-directed learning philosophy, where educational technology is not just a tool but a bridge, incorporating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. This approach ensures that every learner, regardless of their background or abilities, has the opportunity to flourish and be well-prepared for the evolving workplace. My passion stems from a deep conviction: technology is a great equalizer in education, offering a level playing field for all students to achieve their potential.
